School Site Programs
Have and Archaeologist come to your school
and give students an insight into archaeology as a scientific activity
that needs the skills from many disciplines. Our “standard
rich lessons” are adapted for general classrooms, GATE, AVID,
and Upward Bound programs. We currently offer two in-classroom programs...
An Archaeologist in the Classroom
Grades 4 and up. One Hour. $50 for up to 34
Students.
Our basic program. An archaeologist educator comes to your classroom
for an hour and shares what archaeology is about, using photos,
and artifacts. Contact us to schedule

Elementary Archaeology
Grades 3 and up. Two hour program. $125 for up to 34 Students.
Students will use real historic artifacts to discover how archaeologists
learn about the past. Based on their investigations, the students
will form a hypothesis about what people where doing in the past.

Site Investigators
Grades 4 and up. Three hour program. $200 for up to 34 Students.
The mystery of the Coliseum Mine, Students will use artifacts, written
records and photos to become Archaeological Site Investigators.
They will solve an archaeological mystery using math, social science,
language arts and science skills in the standards rich class room

Time Detectives in the Classroom
Grades 4 and up. Three Hours. $200 for up
to 34 Students.
Archaeology is a scientific activity that uses the skills of many
disciplines. Who were these people and what were they doing? Students
will solve a mystery using archaeological methods. Their clues are
artifacts and written records. Their methods will involve measuring,
and evaluating documents and charts, considering context, and forming
